Tyler: Hey, this is Tyler with PDQ Homebuyers. wanted to give you guys a quick walk around in this house here in Bentonville, Arkansas. The story with this house is it was a foreclosure. It had problem tenants in it that weren’t paying the homeowner. The homeowner lived several hours away and they couldn’t make the payment on two houses. We had reached out to these people several times over a few months. She was working with a realtor to try to fix her problem and that didn’t work. They were trying to get the tenants to pay. That didn’t work. And at what was basically the 11th hour, they contacted us on a Tuesday, and the auction was supposed to be the following Tuesday. So seven days before the auction, they contacted us. We came in. We put the house under contract on Wednesday. On Thursday, we reached out to our contacts at the law firm that was holding the foreclosure sale whose we’ve been working with for like 15 years.
We were able to get the sale postponed because they know that we’re reputable buyers. We got the sale postponed 30 days and we closed this house within two weeks. So I feel confident if it wasn’t for our abilities to close houses and the relationships that we’ve built over the last 15 years, this house would have gone to the foreclosure auction, and these people would have gotten zero dollars.
In this case, I think they walked away with about $25,000. So they went from a situation where they were about to ruin their credit, get zero dollars, lose the house, to a situation where they walked away with a check for somewhere around $25,000.
